1st XI extend lead at the top

The 1st XI extended their lead at the top of the league after a convincing 114 run win at home to Brentham. An all round team effort saw us post 208 with the bat, before James Shepherd  (4-53) and De La Rey Terblanche (4-5) caused the damage with the ball. A great few days for the club as we recorded an unbeaten league weekend with 4 wins out of 5 (shame on you the 2nd XI!) and fielded eight (yes 8) XIs!! The 1st XI moved top as they won by 4 wickets over at Harrow Town, George Saunders and Charlie Avent with the runs as we chased down 179. The 1st XI were denied by Uxbridge's last wicket pair, as they could only pick up a winning draw on Saturday. A better day at the Paulin, where the 2s and 3s picked up important wins, and for the first time in living memory we were able to field a 6th XI. A great effort from all involved! WHCC Family Day- Saturday 8th July

If you are in the area attending the N21 festival, please pop down the Paulin to enjoy some warm hospitality, as well as food and drink offers.  Plus we have matches involving WHCC sides taking place on all three pitches, so please come down and show your support  

1st XI thrash Wycombe House to reduce gap at the top

The 1st XI produced their best performance of the season as they thrashed unbeaten league leaders Wycombe House by 126 runs at the Paulin. Jim Gatting (81) top scored in our total of 253. With the ball James Shepherd (9-45) blew away the visitors. A huge win for the 1st XI that reduces the gap at the top to just three points. Well played lads! Back to back wins for the 1st XI, after they edged a low scoring encounter over at Middlesex Tamils. Jack Irwin (5-22) doing the damage with the ball. Ladies Cricket at the Hill

Ladies cricket continues this week running from 6-8pm every Thursday Night at the club. WHCC are starting a ladies section with the intention of trying to get a couple of junior teams out as well as a senior ladies team in 2018 and we need more girls/ladies to take up the game. Age and Ability is irrelevant, we want everyone having fun and making new friends, as well as learning new skills.
