Colts
The Colts section of Winchmore Hill Cricket Club is one of the most successful and thriving Youth Development sections in North London.
We have ECB qualified coaching available for children of all abilities from Under 8 age group up to Under 17s, with two regular evening sessions dedicated to training and development, starting from April through to the end of the School Summer Term. We also run Summer Coaching Camps during the holidays as well.
Our Cricket Development Officer Scott Newman will be present each night and is also available for one-to-one coaching clinics to further improve players of all abilities.
Each age group competes in Middlesex Area Leagues and matches are 20-overs a side. Over the recent years, we have been able to develop numerous league winning teams. while last season our Under 15 side reached the County Final, where they narrowly lost. We have a strong record of producing County-representative Colts, while many of our former colts have progressed to represent the adult club sides, including a large quantity of the 1st XI over the years.

U14 Colts Tour
Following the very successful inaugural U14 tour in 2012 which was a 4 day visit to Jersey and comprised of playing 3 games of both Twenty20 and 40 over innings matches against the Jersey cricket academy we are pleased to confirm plans are locked down for the 2013 tour. The tour is designed to both raise the experience of our colts in playing the longer durational game, increase the level of competitive cricket as well as allow the boys to experience playing a cricket tour.

CHANCE TO SHINE 
We have signed up to Chance to Shine (C2S), a nationwide scheme aiming to bring cricket coaching back into state primary schools, and thereby use it’s educational benefits to help develop key skills in the classroom.
Supported by the ECB and Middlesex Cricket Board, this is part of a five-year plan that will build up incrementally as we build it’s profile.
This year, we’re delighted to be involved with the following four local schools;

- Merryhills
- Highfield

Girls Cricket
We are proud to offer coaching to Girls this year.
Training sessions start on Tuesday 7th May 6pm-8pm. Primarily targeting School Years 5 & 6, we are happy to have enquiries for any other age groups who are interested.
